Description:

COVID-related budget tightening has heightened the need for technology assessment during capital planning, making it more crucial than ever. This is on top of the always pressing need to innovate and improve patient outcomes. Technology assessment processes allow health systems to maximize their return on investment by defining purpose, reviewing clinical evidence, determine impact on operations, quality, and costs. In this online presentation, the Vice President of Resource Management for Bayhealth will review the processes they have developed to evaluate their capital planning and allocation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review an assessment process and technique used to evaluate capital implementations
  • Discuss how supply chain professionals are uniquely qualified to lead these assessments
  • Review how the “new normal” has heightened the need for these assessments
